Shotgun

Post by **Digger** on Thu Aug 12, 2010 12:54 am

I am interested in a shotgun, would prefer a 12-GA but would entertain 20-GA, let me know what you got.

Jb, you planning a hunting trip or is it for home protection?

If you just want to borrow one, I have an extra mossberg 12g.

elephantrider good deal on this set-up but I am really wanting a longer barrell.

Glenn I am not planning a hunting trip, I am looking for a shotgun to keep around the house for home protection as well as be able to use it for skeet or maybe some birds. But thanks for the offer. How do you like your Mossberg?

Mine's like the one Elephant has. I bought it probably 15 years ago, came with regular and pistol grip, long and short barrel.

They are cheaply made, but work well. Never had a problem with mine. I've since bought a semi auto Remington 1100, cause when you're out blastin' birds and drinkin', you forget to chamber a round from time to time. drunken

The other thing I don't like about the mossberg, and this is strictly personal, is that it doesn't have a raised ridge on the barrel. I was shooting a little high w/o it.

ive had that shotgun skeet shooting quite
often and it's really accurate with the
shoulder stock. we tried it with the pistola
grip, and uh, not so much.

the short barrel is what you want for home
protection. gives you about a 10" spread
at 15 feet. just enough to make a 12"
hole in your target's chest. put some
3" magnum shells in that bad boy and you'll
cut a burglar right in half.
