Jeep wrangler 3rd brake light

Hey guys, was rollin down teh road and my 3rd brake light on my Jeep Wrangler started bouncing around and broke off of it's hold. After inspection I noticed that somehow where the srews screw into it to hold it to the tire carrier the female end of it stripped out so 1 out of the 2 screws no longer holds onto anything. Seemed quite odd being I have never messed with this section before...

Anywase. I know alot of people tak ethis piece off all together but I kinda like it on it so if you or anyone you know has removed it and wants to get rid of it cheap hit me up!!

its on a 2008 wrangler 4door.

If I were to leave it off for the time being (as I am noticing soem nice LED tail light sets) is there an easy way to hide that cable back there so its not filling with water and playing with electricity when I hit the brakes?

i just got some zip ties, wadded it up as much as i could and
zip tied it by the spare tire. works like a charm.

Yah I have it tied in a loose knot on the tire carrier. Zip ties do sound like a better plan. Ill prolly do it in the morning.
