110 welder ***SOLD***

Post by TheGreenDominicker on Fri Oct 23, 2009 9:33 pm

I've got a campbell/hausfeld 110v flux core welder I'm wantin to get rid of. It's been used off and on for a few years but still works great. I guess that proves it's a good welder. It'll weld up to 3/16" nicely, and will do 1/4" if you take it easy and slow (or do two passes). It's an 80 amp uuhhh...20% duty cycle if I remember right. It's to late for me to go out to the shop and check the correct specs.
It'll hold a 10lb roll of wire. It's the welder I used to build my old exo. you can upgrade it to gas for 90.00

If any ones interested I'll post a few pics.
It is missing the cover, unless I happen to find it.

I'm asking 50.00

what condition is it in? any problems with it at all? I am kinda interested in this. Would be nice since the apartments wont let me have a 220 in may garage. Very Happy I would much rather buy a Lincoln TIG but i dont have $2000 right now...

It's in good shape, I used it about once a month over the years so it's in better shape than most others that are that old. the ground clamp was the only problem but I put a new, heavy duty clamp on it last month. With the duty cycle the way it is you can weld a few minutes but then it's a good idea to stop for a couple minutes (to let the duty cycle catch up). But usually after a couple of minutes welding you have to stop to prep your next piece anyways so you don't really have to worry about it shutting off on you in order to cool down. By the time you've checked the piece you've just welded and got your next piece preped it's had time to cool down.
It always worked great for cage work because it was made to easily handle 1/8" wall. And if you've preped 1/4" piece good then it'll handle them too. Welders like these like clean metal, if it's dirty then they fuss alot. but that's a rule for any good welding anyways.
