$1000!!!

Hey fellas!!! I finally got back on!! I was wondering if you had an extra grand what would you do with it on your rig? I got it thanks to a mess up with uncle Sam!! The one thing though is I want to do as many upgrades as possible. Anything from simple to crazy. Let me know what you think.

First and formost i would get me that axe set up you have...

Then i would look into some Armor and a case of beer....

nice set of curb feelers, electic chrome dipped steps, and some steel toe boots so you quit messing up your toes.....that should use up about 1k

Ok TRUBL I got the axe already for you. It is in my Jeep as I type. What else would you do to your rig?

you can get alot of good things for 1k, but it all depends on what you have. I dont even know what you drive, but if I had 1k I would get a nice 2 piece front driveshaft. Or a detroits for the dana 60 and 14blt.

Thanks for the compliment. I try to think of everything that I would need if I have to ditch the rig and hump out on foot. I have did plenty of that before in the Army. I really just want to be a good complete rig that can handle anything that it comes too.

Lango, I think the "Snap On" decal on your bike is very appropriate. But shouldn't it be Strap On though lol!

If I had a grand and your rig I would get chromos and steering upgrade and see what you have left after that.

If I had a grand I would find away to post the videos you guys were filming out there.
Then I would look into chromos and for sure steering upgrades. You never know when you'll break a tierod or something. Ask JB where he gets his chromos from. They seemed to work great!

Ok, where did you get those chomo's from and what brand were they? I was watching when it snapped and I think it was a manufacture defect. There wasn't that much of a stain to break them I think, but who am I to say? On the steering upgrade, yes I have thought of that. I usually carry extra tierods and ball joints, get them from Auto Zone and they carry a lifetime warranty. Are you talking about maybe a steering box and pump upgrade? When I have it in low and the front locked in, it is hard to steer. What would you think then?

Well my Chromos were abused for over a year in my previous rig. So I really feel that they were stressed from the previous runs. But I have the Yukon chromos, and I have been more than happy with them.

Your whelp is hard to turn because your front axle is locked. I don't have a selctable locker infront but I do have 2lo conversion so I just use that in tight turns.
The steering upgrade would be beefier tierod and tie's along with highe steer. Not sure if Trubl posted up what he had on his old Rubi but it was bad ass.

i would tap my own steer box, prolly cost ya 100 bones, add a hydro ram 200 bucks, front locker 450, fluids 100, then you can give me the 150 left over to put it all in. Prolly better bring some beer too.
